Day 6 Mountain Home to Burley

A second full day in Idaho. Today we moved through more farmland but more a mixture of agriculture and cattle rearing.

Today was a longer day with a fair bit of climbing and although it started off quite cool, it warmed up significantly during the afternoon.

After lunch we entered the town of Buhl. Here we found the Smith’s Dairy Store – famous for serving a whole variety of flavours of ice cream – including Potato !  Personally, I gave that a miss in favour of Bubble gum flavour which was pink in colour with small balls of gum in it. The ice cream was lovely and the gum gave me something to chew on for the next half an hour or so.

One of the many snakes I saw as road kill - not looking forward to seeing the live variety!

Stats for the day:-

Distance: 140 miles

Climbing: 3900ft

Wildlife: More of the same – still nothing alive!

Me riding along another long, flat, straight road.
